A quick thought today:
“In every presentation, you should communicate two things: great content; and something about yourself.”
The great content is a given. You will have to prepare an impeccable presentation based on your knowledge, experience, research, and deep understanding of a topic.
Communicating something about ourselves is a little more complex. We don’t want to speak excessively about ourselves in a presentation. This is boring and will not serve our audience.
So, ideally, if you are doing this correctly, it’s done in a single motion. The great content will also say something about you (that you are smart, diligent, thoughtful, bold, complex, etc.) so that you don’t have to.
